Tómas Howser Harðarson

Tómas Howser Harðarson is an Icelandic actor currently based in Iceland. He graduated with a BA in Acting from the prestigious Guildford School of Acting in 2022 and works extensively across both the UK and Iceland.

Tómas is currently starring as Cliff Bradshaw in the musical Cabaret at the National Theatre of Iceland. Additionally, he will premiere the new children’s touring production Heimsókn til Thalíu in May 2026.

On the international stage, Tómas recently played a leading role in the SONY television series The Waking of a Nation (2025). Filmed in India, the series features Tómas as Deputy Commissioner Miles Irving, a British colonial officer, a role for which he utilized his flawless British (RP) accent. He is equally proficient in General American.

His previous screen credits include a major role in the Icelandic feature film Þrot (2022), which received Edda Award nominations for Best Screenplay and Director, and the RÚV series Húsó (2024). In the UK, he made his London stage debut in Love (to) Bits at the Barons Court Theatre and subsequently toured England with the production Fantastic Fred.

Tómas has additionally worked as a question writer for the popular Icelandic TV show Kviss on Sýn and contributed material to the quiz games PöbbKviss and KrakkaKviss.
