Sigríður Ásta Olgeirsdóttir

Sigríður Ásta graduated with a BA in Acting from Copenhagen International School of Performing Arts in 2020. Earlier she had studied Singing at The Reykjavík Academy of Singing and Vocal Arts as well as at The University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.

She has been prominent as an actor, writer and singer in the independent theatre scene in Iceland as well as working with international theatre groups.

In 2025 Sigríður starred as Marlene Dietrich in a musical based on the life of the legend, performed in Reykjavík, a role that has put her on the map as an actress.

She has recently advanced into film acting and is starring in three TV series that are currently in production.

Sigríður was nominated as „Rising star“ at the Icelandic Theatre Awards in 2025.

Sigríður has the title „Artist of the year 2025“ in Borgarbyggð.

A monologue Sigríður wrote and performed, Hidden, won the BNFN Award at the RVK Fringe Festival in 2023.

Sigríður speaks Icelandic, English, German and Danish, as well as being adequate in other Scandinavian languages, Italian and French.
