Björk Guðmundsdóttir

Björk Guðmundsdóttir graduated from The Iceland University of the Arts with a acting degree in 2021. She is one of the key members of Improv Iceland and has studied at the world's most prestigious improv schools in New York and LA.

Björk is an actress, screenwriter and entertainer with diverse experience on stage and in television projects. She has acted in numerous television series, including playing the lead role of Dísa in the series Flamingo Bar, Birna Höskuldsdóttir, the Minister of Education, in the series Worst Case Scenario (í versta falli), and Beta in the series Skvíz. She has also acted in numerous sketches and commercials.

In addition, Björk has played a variety of roles on stage, including in the one-woman show Girls & Boys by Dennis Kelly, which received unanimous critical acclaim. She is currently performing in one of Shakespeare's most famous comedies, A Midsummer Night's Dream, which is being shown at Tjarnarbíó.

Björk is currently studying creative writing at the University of Iceland (MA degree) and has a great passion for writing. Among other things, she has written the short film, My World (Heimurinn minn), and the one-woman show, Life is One Big Surprise Party.
